Provide a comprehensive Emergency Management System to protect life and property, public peace, health, safety and the environment of the Citizens of Lawrence County through an ALL HAZARDS approach to MITIGATION, PREPAREDNESS, RESPONSE and RECOVERY from disasters and emergencies at the local level.

Our Mission

Kentucky law requires that each City and County in Kentucky maintain an Emergency Management Department which shall serve the public safety interest of the local government. KRS Chapter 39B. Lawrence County Emergency Management serves  as that agency for Lawrence County and Cities of Louisa and Blaine. Lawrence County Emergency Management operates under the guidelines prescribed in KRS Chapter 39A-G and Lawrence County Ordinance #______-______.
